WELCOME AUTUMN!

I spent last weekend helping my daughter in Melbourne put in formwork for a concrete base for a new shed. Not a big shed

(4 x 2 m) but in an awkward location. Aren’t all projects on existing city house blocks awkward!!

We needed to move some soil, relocate some plants, and as we discovered, relocate some underground irrigation pipe (PVC). What was planned as a three-hour fairly easy job turned into a two-day struggle to get it completed (note there was also a large council stormwater grate in the base area that had to be navigated).

And it was also 35 degrees plus on both days! Daughter and husband are happy, so a successful project.

My insight, however, was not in the construction of the formwork but rather having to purchase bits and pieces of plumbing fittings at some big-box retailers (albeit in Melbourne).

You will be glad to know that as a WSS customers, you are better off financially. They can make a claim to being cheap or will beat competitors’ prices (who has the time for that), but I can state unequivocally that 8 of the 10 products I purchased and compared on Tuesday morning are cheaper at WSS. I am also looking at why two products were marginally more expensive and will hopefully have these adjusted.

Always happy to quote (it is a free service), always happy to design the best and long-term water solution, and can say it will also be the cheapest against the two big guys.
