QUICK SEASON CHANGE

How quickly the season can change. Of course, each year February and March are generally the more difficult months without green feed and a drying top soil. It is hot, and it is dry. Nights are warmer and days are longer and so there is more pressure on the water resource.

When it is hot animals (all animals) need access to water daily and garden plants (especially those in a pot) need a small drink daily.

Automation of water supply is very worthwhile and so there are no missed days and monitoring (and phone alerts) can give peace of mind. We are happy to provide free advice on available technology to help in water management.

‘It is also timely as we approach autumn to check dam and creek water levels. We have recently rescued a couple of solar pumps from dams with very low water. Better to rescue or at a minimum turn off the pump before any damage.

It is also an opportunity to put in a water level indicator as it is great to have a visual guide for later in the year. Talk to us about installing a measuring pole.

Regards, Jack
