Welcome to our April Newsletter.
What a fantastic start to the 2023 season. An early break is great news and receiving an extra 15-25mm depending on your location over the weekend. It puts the pressure on to get the crops in and pastures planted before potentially it gets too wet and or the soil gets too cold. Farming never stops!
It is timely also to look at drainage and getting in culverts before it gets too wet. Strategically placed culverts can avoid erosion and secondly help with maintaining tracks and laneways.
There may also be benefits in upgrading or putting in new drains to fill dams and having a good water storage for next summer. Please consider opportunities to install solar on your larger dam/s that can get water to a tank at the top of the hill. In electrical terms this is identical to installing a battery – just in this case it is for water.
Whether it is a solar pump or variable speed pump or farm pump or house pump that you need information on please call to discuss.
Regards Jack
