OUR BEST WISHES FOR A PROSPEROUS, SAFE AND HEALTHY 2024

Lots of people make new year’s resolutions and I included, look to the new year as a time to plan. I set goals for the business, family, holidays, garden, volunteering, reading, sport, community etc and generally they are linked to some reward. Best to incentivise.

My biggest challenge is ‘getting off my bum’. I am a good procrastinator. Somehow, I think it is going to be easier later. Finding time is always a hard part and making time needs to be one of the objectives. For me it is the 6pm to 9pm period on weekdays where I seem to waste a lot of time. I need rewards so the weekend will include a treat.

One of the challenges is the difficult task of taking risks. Small steps are important but there still will be some uncomfortable parts to the plan. Remember it may be tough, but regret is so much worse.

We are social things and remember the best joy is when we are interacting with someone. We tend to be a bit lazy in keeping in contact, yet it is so cathartic to initiate and have a few words with people around you. At the shop counter, on the walking path, your next door neighbour, someone overcoming adversity with a smile and some kind words, can go a long way.

So, a challenge – be the initiator!

Kind regards and all the very best for 2024.

Jack
